La Sylphide is a romantic tale set in the Scottish Highlands, this ballet brings the gossamer-light sylphs out to play, with tragic consequences. A must-see for all ballet lovers!
Cape Town City Ballet will be performing this “Scottish” ballet at the Maynardville Open Air Theatre on four Sundays in February 2015. Ticket prices range from R120 to R140 depending on where you would like to sit. A number of Callies members have said they would like to see this production and have decided that Sunday 15th February would be the best day to go. The plan is to arrive early and have a picnic in the park then see La Sylphide in the Theatre. If you have never been to the Open Air Theatre at Maynardville you will find this experience a real treat.
